Who We Are

The professional home of Ghana's health accounting staff

Established in 2005 and formally inaugurated in Accra in June 2006, HASAG brings Health Accounting and Audit professionals — from regional and teaching hospitals to district clinics and national health agencies — under one national body, with Trade Union status since 2020.

  • One national body with twenty-three regional chapters and a single code of ethics.
  • Welfare packages, including a Tier 3 Provident Fund, that secure the long-term future of every member.
  • Structured continuous professional development, workshops and national congresses.
  • The Government-approved first Collective Bargaining Agreement (2025) — a landmark framework for members' rights and welfare.

Our Code

Six principles govern every ledger we keep

Our members are custodians of public trust. These values are not aspirations — they are conditions of membership.

01

Integrity

Honest records without exception. Our name and our conduct must always agree — that is the meaning of Hasag ·· Integrity.

02

Professionalism

Ethical standards and technical competence in every ledger, voucher and report our members produce.

03

Accountability

Every cedi of public health money must answer to a name, a voucher and a verifiable trail.

04

Transparency

Open books, clear reporting and honest disclosure — from district clinic to national agency.

05

Commitment to Unity

One national body speaking with one voice — from every regional chapter to the National Secretariat.

06

Service Excellence

Continuous learning, professional development and a standing commitment to serve members and the health sector well.
